In 2009 I hand and machine knit my senior thesis collection which was inspired by the colors and textures of my mother’s garden.
This coat is knit with 100% merino and lined in silk. The exterior is hand appliquéd with strips of hand gathered silk chiffon.
The dress is silk and mohair marled together.
This dress is hand knit using strips of silk chiffon.
This top is made weaving strips of silk fabric into a mohair knit base and hand tacking ostrich feathers.
This is intarsia knit in a blend of mohair, merino and silk with cascades of ostrich feathers hand tacked at the end.
Atop the mohair knit dress is a hand crochet, “net,” with hand gathered silk chiffon flowers organically appliquéd.
